Concepts

Software Quality Managers are often responsible for leading organizational changes necessary to improve software quality.  To make these changes they need to impact the culture and people in their organizations.  This means leading a process improvement initiative.  Many projects/ initiatives that are designed to improve software quality have a high failure rate.  This failure rate reflects inadequate planning to address the common risk and issues that set these projects up for failure.  Software development projects have identified risks that are common to projects based on size, development language, platform etc. What are the typical barriers to successful Software Process Improvement?   How you overcome these barriers and succeed at culture change is a critical element in the project’s success.  This course addresses effective techniques that can be used in by software quality managers  to effectively manage risk and issues and assure their improvement initiatives success.
